Emaar Properties announced on Sunday, August 20th, that they plan on launching a new family retail district called "Dubai Hills Mall", which will be located in the center of Dubai Hills Estate, the 11 million square meter green oasis set in close proximity to Downtown Dubai and Al Maktoum International Airport.
Set to open in 2019, this new extravagant shopping mall will have a GLA (Gross Leasable Area) of 187'500 square meters, and will be home to over 700 outlets, as well as a wide array of food and beverage choices featuring a large number of restaurants and cafes.
Four major family leisure and entertinment centers will be included in Dubai Hills Mall, as well as a huge hypermarket, seven anchor retail experience stores, and parking spaces that can fit more than 7000 vehicles.
The mall will offer easy access to Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed Road, Umm Suqeim Road, and Al Khalil Road. It will also have a dedicated link to the Dubai Metro and other means of public transportation.
